Alex Kellner came through with a solid 9 innings at Griffith Stadium where the
Boston-AL Red Sox beat the Washington Nationals 3 to 0.

Kellner(4-5) pitched one of his finer games as he simply was too much for the
Washington batters.  He surrendered only 5 hits and 1 walk in 9 innings
lowering his ERA to 3.01.  Neither team managed to score after the 2nd
inning.  

Murry Dickson(8-7) was hit with the loss.  He allowed 8 hits and no walks in 9
innings.
