The Cincinnati Reds cruised to a 11 to 6 victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates
at Crosley Field.

Hank Bauer enjoyed a big day at the plate.  He belted a three-run homer in the
7th inning and laced a base-hit which brought home a run in the 8th inning.
Cincinnati won despite being out-hit by Pittsburgh 14 hits to 9.  

The victory went to Ray Crone(1-3) who went 1 and 2/3 innings, allowing no
runs. The loss was charged to Dick Donovan(2-1) in relief.  He pitched 1 and
1/3 innings giving up 3 hits and 2 walks.
