the Columbus Buckeyes outscored the Pittsburgh Alleghenys 11 to 7.

Columbus jumped on top to stay in the bottom of the 5th inning scoring 3
runners on 3 hits.  Columbus totaled 15 hits on the afternoon.  

The win was credited to McIntyre(2-0) who went the whole way allowing 7 runs.
