Charlie Getzien completed the game without help from the bullpen at Athletic
Park where the Indianapolis Hoosiers beat the Washington Nationals by the
score of 11 to 7.

In the bottom of the 5th inning Indianapolis scored 4 runs when they came up
with 4 base hits.  The highlight belonged to Paul Hines who came through for
the home fans when he doubled clearing the bases.  Indianapolis finished with
14 hits in the victory.  

Getzien(10-6) picked up the complete game victory, allowing 7 runs. George
Keefe(1-7) was the loser.  He was knocked around by Indianapolis, allowing 14
hits and 10 walks in 8 innings.
