Second baseman Nap Lajoie had 2 base hits and 2 RBI and Glenn Liebhardt
completed the game without help from the bullpen at League Park where the
Cleveland Naps beat the Philadelphia Athletics by the score of 5 to
2.

Cleveland wasted no time and took the lead in the first inning plating 3 runs
on 3 base hits.  Josh Clarke led off and started the attack as he banged out
a single.  Bill Bradley came next and he delivered a single, and an error was
also committed.  George Stovall then reached on an error resulting in a run.
Lajoie was up next and he doubled as two more runners crossed the plate.
That early scoring held up.  Cleveland had 9 hits for the afternoon.

Liebhardt(5-2) picked up the complete game victory, allowing 2 runs. Jimmy
Dygert(3-7) took the loss.  He allowed 9 hits and 3 walks in 8 innings.
