Johnny Lush pitched a complete game as the St. Louis Cardinals defeated the
ice-cold Pittsburgh Pirates by a score of 7 to 3 at Robison Field.

Lush(7-4) gave St. Louis a solid outing.  He went 9 innings allowing 7 hits
and 3 walks dropping his ERA from 3.08 to 2.88.  St. Louis managed 11 hits in
their victory.  

Kirby White(2-7) was tagged with the loss.  He was unable to control the St.
Louis offense and allowed 9 hits and 6 walks in 5 and 2/3 innings.
