Yogi Berra rocketed 2 homeruns at Shibe Park as the Pittsburgh Pirates beat
the Philadelphia Phillies 9 to 6.

Berra provided much of the offense.  He blasted a Grand Slam homerun in the
6th inning and clubbed a solo home run in the 9th inning.  Joe Page, after
tossing a perfect ninth, was credited with his 12th save.  

Allie Reynolds(4-6) went 6 innings allowing 4 runs for the victory. Virgil
Trucks(8-5) was the losing pitcher.  He was hit hard and gave up 9 hits and 3
walks in 6 innings.  

Pittsburgh now has a record of 31-41.  With the loss Philadelphia now has a
record of 31-33.
