Will White pitched a complete game as the Cincinnati Red Stockings defeated
the Pittsburgh Alleghenys by the score of 13 to 7 at League Park.

Tom Mansell enjoyed a big day at the plate.  He doubled which was good for two
runs in the 7th inning and tripled scoring two baserunners in the 8th inning.
Even though they scored in 5 different innings, Pittsburgh was not able to
pull off the win.  

The winning pitcher was White(15-7) who allowed 7 runs for the game. Fleury
Sullivan(4-11) took the loss.  He was not very effective, surrendering 13
runs in 8 innings.
