Pat Deasley had 2 base hits and 3 RBI and Jumbo McGinnis was able to finish
what he started and was credited with a complete game as the St. Louis Browns
defeated the Washington Nationals by a score of 9 to 2 at Sportsman's
Park.

In the bottom of the 4th inning St. Louis scored 6 runs with the help of 4
hits.  The key at-bat was by Deasley who made the St. Louis fans a happy lot
when he slapped a single bringing home two baserunners.  St. Louis totaled 11
hits on the afternoon.  

The victory went to McGinnis(8-8) who went the distance allowing 2 runs. Bob
Barr(2-15) was tagged with the loss.  He allowed St. Louis 9 runs in 8
innings of work.
