TEAM RISP- Colts: 3 for 11 Pirates: 3 for 10

The Pittsburg Pirates defeated the Chicago Colts by a score of 8 to 5 at
Exposition Park.

Pittsburg took the lead off Adonis Terry in the first inning scoring 4 runners
on 3 hits. The biggest moment was provided by Jake Stenzel who made the
crowd happy when he doubled bringing in two baserunners. Chicago had a
chance to come back in the 9th but they came up short.

The win went to Red Ehret(6-5) who allowed 5 runs in 8 and 1/3 innings. Ehret
got relief help from Ad Gumbert who gained credit for his 1st save.
Terry(3-5) suffered the loss.

'We just made a lot of mistakes, mostly mental,' Cap Anson said. 'It's bad
enough when the other team beats you, but when you start beating yourselves,
that's really bad.'
