Roy Evans was able to finish what he started and was credited with a complete
game and Harry Wolverton had 3 base hits as the Pittsburgh Pirates outscored
the St. Louis-NL Cardinals 8 to 6.

Evans(2-2) earned his pay with a solid performance for Pittsburgh.  He went 9
innings allowing 9 hits and 1 walk.  Pittsburgh banged out 15 hits on the
afternoon.  

Bill Dinneen(8-2) was tagged with the loss.  Pittsburgh scored big getting 8
