Roger Bresnahan had 3 base hits as the Washington Senators bested the St.
Louis-AL Browns in 10 innings 5 to 3 at Sportsman'S Park.

Both teams were tied at 3 runs apiece after nine innings. Washington won the

got things rolling when he stroked a single. Bresnahan was safe at second on
a stolen base. Fred Clarke then was walked intentionally. Ed Delahanty
stepped in and he hit a single scoring a one-base hit run. Danny Green
stepped into the box and ripped a base-hit, and an error was also committed,
scoring the final run of the inning. Overall Washington out-hit St. Louis-AL
13 to 7.

The victory was credited to Deacon Phillippe(11-3) who went 2 innings,
allowing no runs. Addie Joss(8-4) was the loser. He gave up 5 runs and 11
hits in 9 and 1/3 innings.
