Art Griggs hit 2 doubles as the Boston-NL Braves bested the Boston-AL Red Sox
in 10 innings 2 to 1 at Huntington Ave Grnds.

The game was deadlocked at 1 after nine full innings.  Finally, Boston-NL
prevailed in the 10th inning.  After an out was recorded, Jake Stahl reached
on an error.  Stahl took his lead and swiped second.  Dick Egan then lined a
base-hit scoring the run.  The teams had been locked in a scoreless duel
until the 7th inning.  

Chick Brandom(5-2) got credit for the victory, pitching 1/3 of an inning and
allowing no runs. Jim Scott was credited with his 1st save.  Walter
Johnson(5-10) took the loss in relief.  He was a hard-luck loser, pitching 2
innings and not allowing an earned run.
