Left fielder Birdie Cree had 4 hits and 5 RBI at Sportsman'S Park where the
Chicago-NL Cubs beat the St. Louis-AL Browns by the score of 11 to 6.

Cree had a big day at the plate.  He doubled in the 1st inning, tripled with
all three baserunners touching home in the 2nd inning, tripled bringing in a
run in the 4th inning and doubled which scored a run in the 5th inning.  Both
teams totaled 12 hits on the afternoon.  

Ed Willett(5-3) went 7 and 2/3 innings allowing 6 runs for the win. Tom
Hughes(2-1) was charged with the loss.  He was touched for 10 hits and 5
walks in 5 innings.  

Chicago-NL extended their winning streak to 6 games.
