First baseman Joe Adcock had 2 base hits and 2 RBI as the Washington Nationals
bested the Cleveland Indians 7 to 6 at Cleveland Stadium.

Spec Shea(5-4) labored throughout the game but hung around to record a
victory.  He gave up 4 runs in 5 innings and surrendered 2 'round-trippers'.
The Cleveland offense proved no trouble in the bottom of the 9th.  

Shea got help from Joe Nuxhall who was credited with his 5th save.  Alex
Kellner(2-7) suffered the loss.  Washington scored big getting 6 runs off him
in 4 innings.  

Washington now has a record of 31-26.  With this loss, Cleveland has a 5-5
record of late, 33-32 overall.
