Jack Easton allowed Al Buckenberger to rest his bullpen, tossing a complete
game and second baseman Jack Crooks had 4 hits and 4 RBI as the Columbus
Solons topped the St. Louis Browns by a score of 12 to 7 at Recreation
Park.

In the bottom of the 7th inning Columbus scored 5 runs when they had 4 base
hits.  The biggest moment was provided by Easton who made the home-town crowd
a happy bunch when he lined a single which was good for two runs.  Columbus
finished with 14 hits in the victory.  

The victory went to Easton(10-9) who went the distance allowing 7 runs. Jack
Stivetts(8-9) was given the loss.  He allowed 11 hits and 8 walks in 6 and
2/3 innings.
