Frank Dwyer allowed Charlie Comiskey to rest his bullpen, tossing a complete
game and Bug Holliday had 3 base hits and 3 RBI at League Park as the
Cincinnati Reds beat the Chicago Colts by the count of 9 to 1.

Chicago was unable to claim the lead after Cincinnati went ahead in the bottom
of the 4th inning scoring 2 runs utilizing 2 base hits.  After an out was
recorded, Holliday started the rally when he laced a one-base hit.  Holliday
swiped second base.  Farmer Vaughn then lashed a single driving in a run.
Cincinnati continued their aggressive style with another stolen base.  Jim
Canavan came up to bat and worked the squeeze play to perfection scoring the
final run of the inning.  Cincinnati rapped out 10 hits for the afternoon.

Dwyer(5-8) finished the game allowing 1 run in the victory. Hal Mauck(3-5) was
charged with the loss.  He gave up 9 runs in 7 innings of work.
