Joe Yeager went the distance and shortstop Bill Dahlen had 5 hits and 3 RBI at
League Park as the streaking Brooklyn Superbas, running on all cylinders,
ripped the ice-cold Cleveland Spiders by a large 17 to 2 margin.

Yeager(2-1) pitched well for Brooklyn in their victory.  He surrendered 6 hits
and 3 walks in 9 innings dropping his ERA from 5.11 to 3.80.  Brooklyn lit up
the scoreboard in the 1st inning when they had 4 runs on 4 hits and the 9th
inning which saw them plate 11 runs on 10 hits.  Brooklyn finished with 21
hits in the victory.  

Harry Maupin(0-3) was given the loss.  He got hammered, allowing 21 hits and 5
walks in 9 innings.
