Dick Rudolph(8-3) was on top of his game in Boston as he tossed a beauty of a
no-hitter against the Brooklyn Robins. The Boston Braves won by a score of 6
to 0.
Rudolph was just too much for Brooklyn. He gave his hometown fans a game
they'll never forget! He allowed Brooklyn just one walk. What a day for the
fans. They were on the edge of their seats from the 7th inning on. With
every out, the electricity in the air mounted. Boston totaled 10 hits on the
afternoon.
Jack Coombs(4-3) was tagged with the loss. After the game, Rudolph was heard
to say, 'This is something I have dreamt about since I was a little boy - to
have it come true is just amazing!'
