Right fielder Ty Cobb had 2 base hits as the New York-NL Giants bested the
Detroit Tigers 5 to 4 at Bennett Park.
New York-NL jumped on top to stay in the top of the 4th inning scoring a
single run. Bob Unglaub tripled. Hans Lobert stepped up next and he hit a
deep fly scoring the run. Detroit had a chance in the 9th but they came up
short.
Johnny Lush(4-6) went 6 and 2/3 innings allowing 4 runs for the victory. Tom
McCarthy recorded the save, his 1st. Ed Walsh(14-8) took the loss.
