Jim Doyle had 3 base hits and 4 RBI at Bennett Park where the Brooklyn Dodgers
beat the Detroit Tigers by the score of 8 to 4.

Brooklyn claimed the early lead in the first inning as they scored 5 runs on 4
base hits.  That was all the runs Larry Pape(2-7) needed.  After the 4th
inning, neither team was able to score.  

Pape was helped out by Harry Krause who recorded his 3rd save.  Elmer
Knetzer(4-10) was the losing pitcher.  He struggled with his control issuing
7 walks in 4 innings.
