Jake Stenzel had 5 hits and 3 RBI and Pink Hawley allowed Connie Mack to rest
his bullpen, tossing a complete game as the Pittsburg Pirates crushed the
Chicago Colts 18 to 3.

Stenzel provided the offensive punch. He belted a three-run homer in the 1st
inning, ripped a base-hit in the 2nd inning, singled in the 4th inning,
banged out a single in the 7th inning and laced a one-base hit in the 9th
inning. Pittsburg lit up the scoreboard in the 1st inning when they had 6
runs on 6 hits and the 9th inning which saw them plate 5 runs on 5 hits. The
Pittsburg offense man-handled the Chicago pitching staff as they scored in 7
of the 9 innings.

The victory went to Hawley(13-6) who went the distance allowing 3 runs. Scott
Stratton(2-3) was hit with the loss. He got hammered, allowing 27 hits and 2
walks in 9 innings.
