Center fielder Danny Green cracked a homer and had 4 RBI at American League
Park as the Washington Senators beat the Philadelphia-AL Athletics by the
count of 11 to 3.

Green provided much of the offense.  He blasted a two-run home run in the 1st
inning, tripled which was good for two runs in the 2nd inning and lined a
one-base hit in the 8th inning.  For the game Washington out-hit
Philadelphia-AL 14 to 7.  

Ned Garvin(7-6) picked up the victory, allowing 3 runs in 7 and 2/3 innings.
Roy Patterson(8-7) was the loser.  He was unable to control the Washington
offense and allowed 10 hits and 4 walks in 6 innings.
