TEAM RISP- Nationals: 9 for 17 Browns: 4 for 15

Catcher Oscar Stanage had 4 hits and 4 RBI and Fred Blanding tossed a complete
game as the Washington Nationals outscored the St. Louis-AL Browns 13 to
6.

Stanage was a seemingly constant irritant to the hometown fans as he provided
much of the offense for the visitors. He doubled plating two runs in the 5th
inning, laced a one-base hit scoring a run in the 6th inning, delivered a
base-hit which brought home a run in the 7th inning and slapped a single in
the 9th inning. Washington bats were very productive in the 5th inning which
saw them score 5 runs on 6 hits. Washington rapped out 20 hits for the
afternoon.

Blanding(8-2) allowed 6 runs on the game. Ed Reulbach(3-1) was the loser. He
saw his ERA jump from 1.35 to 2.58 as gave up 7 runs in 5 innings.

With this win, Washington has a division leading 25-18 record. They have been
7-3 lately. With the loss, St. Louis-AL has a record of 4-6 lately, 24-23
overall.
