Second baseman Cass Michaels had 4 hits and 4 RBI as the Philadelphia Phillies
crushed the Boston Red Sox 12 to 1.

Michaels had a great day at the plate. He lined a single in the 1st inning,
tripled in the 4th inning, clubbed a three-run home run in the 5th inning and
tripled which brought home a run in the 6th inning.  Overall Philadelphia
out-hit Boston 16 to 8.  

Al Benton(2-3) got the win allowing 1 run in 5 innings. Hank Borowy(3-7)
suffered the loss.  He got hit hard, allowing 12 hits and 3 walks in 4 and
2/3 innings.  

With this win, Philadelphia has a 26-25 record.  They have been 6-4 lately.
