Joe Gordon had 4 hits and 3 RBI at Municipal Stadium where the Boston-AL Red
Sox beat the Cleveland Indians 9 to 5.

Gordon had a good day at the plate. He smacked a single in the 3rd inning,
singled in the 5th inning, lifted one out of the park for a two run home run
in the 7th inning and tripled which plated a run in the 9th inning.
Boston-AL had 14 hits overall, while Cleveland had 11.  

The win went to Lou Brissie(5-6) who allowed 5 runs in 6 and 2/3 innings.
Murry Dickson(8-4) absorbed the loss.  He was knocked around by Boston-AL,
allowing 11 hits and 4 walks in 6 and 2/3 innings.
