Tom Carey had 3 base hits and Harry Wheeler allowed Tom York to rest his
bullpen, tossing a complete game at Base-ball Grounds as the Providence
Grays(P) beat the Milwaukee Grays(M) 7 to 3.

Providence drew first blood jumping out to an early lead in the first inning
plating one baserunner using 3 hits. After an out was recorded, York
tripled, and an error was also committed, scoring the run. Providence
managed 14 hits in their victory.

Wheeler(2-1), allowing 3 runs for the game, picked up the victory. Mike
Golden(2-10) was the losing pitcher. He got hit pretty hard, allowing 14
hits and 3 walks in 9 innings.

With this win, Providence has a 7-12 record. They have been 6-4 lately.
Milwaukee can't seem to snap out of their recent 'funk'. Now they have a
miserable 2-8 record over the last couple weeks.
