Pete Browning had 6 hits and scored 3 times and Guy Hecker tossed a complete
game as the Louisville Colonels bested the Cincinnati Red Stockings 10 to 4
at League Park.

Cincinnati found themselves trailing quickly as the Louisville bats came
through in the first inning when they came up with 2 runs on 4 hits.
Louisville finished with 18 hits in the victory.  

The win was credited to Hecker(11-9) who went the whole way allowing 4 runs.
Bill Mountjoy(8-7) took the loss.  He allowed 16 hits and 4 walks in 6 and
2/3 innings.
