Charlie Buffinton completed the game without help from the bullpen at Athletic
Park as the Philadelphia Quakers belted the Indianapolis Hoosiers by the
count of 17 to 6.

Indianapolis was unable to claim the lead after Philadelphia went ahead in the
3rd inning when they tallied 4 runs on 3 hits. The key offensive moment was
provided by Buffinton who helped quiet the crowd when he stroked a single
scoring two baserunners. Philadelphia provided plenty of action in the 3rd
inning when they had 4 runs on 3 hits and the 5th inning which saw them score
7 runs on 5 hits. Philadelphia banged out 16 hits on the afternoon.

Buffinton(6-6) lasted until the end allowing 6 runs for the win. John
Kirby(5-6) was the losing pitcher. He allowed 16 hits and 10 walks in 8 and
1/3 innings.
