Tony Mullane allowed Ned Hanlon to rest his bullpen, tossing a complete game
and Heinie Reitz had 4 hits and 3 RBI as the Baltimore Orioles bested the
Chicago Colts 13 to 12 at West Side Park.

The game was decided in the top of the 9th inning.  After an out was recorded,
Willie Keeler reached on an error.  Steve Brodie followed and he reached on
an error scoring the run.  The Baltimore offense man-handled the Chicago
pitching staff as they scored in 7 of the 9 innings.  

The victory was credited to Mullane(5-6) who went the distance, allowing 12
runs. Bill Hutchison(3-7) was given the loss.  He was touched for 17 hits and
5 walks in 9 innings.
