Charlie Babb had 3 base hits and Jack Cronin had an impressive outing at
Washington Park where the Brooklyn Superbas beat the Boston Beaneaters by the
score of 4 to 2.

Brooklyn erupted with the game winning runs in the 8th inning with 2 runs on 2
hits.  Babb led off the inning for Brooklyn when he ripped a single.  Babb
swiped second base.  Bill Reidy was a strikeout victim, unable to help out.
Mike McCormack stepped in and he drew a walk.  Bill Bergen stepped into the
box and ripped a one-base hit driving in a run.  Cronin kept things alive and
reached on an error scoring the final run of the inning.  Brooklyn had a
total of 11 hits for the game.  

Cronin(7-8) allowed 2 runs on the game. Vic Willis(5-11) was the loser.  He
got hammered, allowing 11 hits and 3 walks in 8 innings.  

'Our guys just weren't seeing the ball today.' Boston's manager said.  'Cronin
simply dominated us.'
