Cy Young was able to finish what he started and was credited with a complete
game as the Boston Red Sox outscored the Washington Nationals 12 to 4.

Denny Sullivan enjoyed a fine day at the plate.  He tripled plating three runs
in the 3rd inning, slapped a one-base hit in the 4th inning and stroked a
base-hit which brought home a run in the 5th inning.  Boston rapped out 18
hits for the afternoon.  

Young(10-4) allowed 4 runs on the game. Eli Cates(6-2) took the loss.  He was
touched for 18 hits and 2 walks in 8 innings.  The Boston ballclub's record
now stands at 34-28.  With this loss, Washington has a 4-6 record of late,
33-25 overall.
