Center fielder Casey Stengel blasted a homerun and scored 3 times as the
Brooklyn Dodgers beat the New York-NL Giants by a score of 10 to 4.

An offensive explosion by Brooklyn in the bottom of the 8th inning ended any
New York-NL hopes for a victory when they blasted New York-NL for 7 runs on 6
hits. The big moment was provided by Tommy Leach who brought the crowd to
their feet when he lofted a three-run bomb. This was the kind of game that
many fans love as the lead changed hands 5 times.

Eppa Rixey(3-4) got the win allowing no runs in 1 inning. The losing pitcher
was Pete Alexander(7-7). He pitched 7 innings and surrendered 7 hits and 4
walks.
