Benny Kauff had 2 base hits and 3 RBI and Dan Marion was able to finish what
he started and was credited with a complete game at Washington Park where the
Brooklyn team beat the Chicago Whales 6 to 3.

Marion(5-4) had a strong outing.  He allowed just 4 hits and 4 walks in 9
innings.  Brooklyn managed 11 hits in their victory.  

Mike Prendergast(8-5) was charged with the loss.  He was hit hard and gave up
10 hits and 5 walks in 7 and 2/3 innings.  Wth the win Brooklyn now has a
record of a league leading 39-22.  Chicago has a record of 38-23 after the
loss.
