Cincinnati scored the winning runs in the 9th inning when they scored 5 runs on 2 hits. Cincinnati finished with 12 hits in the victory. Preacher Roe(5-5) went 1 inning allowing no runs for the victory. Roe was helped out by Satchel Paige who recorded his 4th save. The loss was charged to Eddie Erautt(3-4) in relief.
