One run was the difference at Municipal Stadium as the Brooklyn Dodgers
defeated the struggling Cleveland Indians in 11 innings 3 to 2.

The score was knotted at 2 after nine innings.  Brooklyn won the game in the
11th inning.  After two were out Jim Hegan stroked a single.  Andy Carey came
next and he slapped a single.  Dee Fondy then lined a single scoring the run.
Brooklyn had a total of 9 hits for the game.  

Clem Labine(2-1) picked up the victory, allowing no runs in 4 innings. Labine
was helped out by Tom Morgan who recorded his 1st save.  Bob Feller(5-6) was
the loser in relief.  He allowed 2 hits and no walks in 1 and 2/3 innings.

The Brooklyn ballclub's record now stands at 28-28.  Still in a bad slump,
with this loss, Cleveland is 2-8 lately and 34-42 on the year.
