Charlie Bennett cracked a homer and had 3 RBI as the Detroit Wolverines
outscored the Chicago White Stockings 10 to 4.

Bennett helped send the fans home happy.  He singled resulting in a run in the
2nd inning, ripped a solo home run in the 5th inning and tripled bringing in
a run in the 8th inning.  Detroit dominated offensively as they scored in 6
different innings.  

The win went to Pete Conway(16-5) who allowed 4 runs in 8 and 2/3 innings.
George Van Haltren(7-8) was the loser.  He got hit pretty hard, allowing 18
hits and 2 walks in 8 innings.
