Oyster Burns smashed 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI and Tom Lovett was able to
finish what he started and was credited with a complete game as the Brooklyn
Bridegrooms defeated the Chicago Colts by the score of 9 to 8 at West Side
Park.

The game was decided in the top of the 9th inning.  Hub Collins reached on an
error.  Collins proceeded to steal third base.  George Pinkney then would hit
into a fielders choice scoring the run.  This was a game of many highs and
lows for the home town fans, as the lead kept changing - 7 times in all.

The victory was credited to Lovett(8-4) who went the distance, allowing 8
runs. Pat Luby(1-3) took the loss.  The Brooklyn ballclub's record now stands
at 27-25.  With the loss, the Chicago ballclub's record is 28-21.
