Cy Young tossed a complete game and George Davis had 2 base hits as the
Cleveland Spiders defeated the Pittsburg Pirates 4 to 1 at League
Park.

Cleveland scored 2 runs in the 3rd inning. That scoring would be all that was
needed. Both teams' bats went to sleep after the 4th inning with no runs
scored after that point.

The victory went to Young(13-6) who went the distance allowing 1 run. Silver
King(6-6) was the losing pitcher. He allowed 7 hits and 2 walks in 8
innings.
