Park.

Ramsey(12-8) had a solid outing for St. Louis. He went 9 innings surrendering

unable to push the needed runs across.

Herb Goodall(4-2) took the loss. He was hit hard and gave up 11 hits and 6
walks in 8 innings. Count Campau was in a talkative mood in the clubhouse,
'Great game! If only we could win all of the close ones - wouldn't that be
nice! Since that's not going to happen, I think I'll savor this one for a
little while.'
