Jocko Milligan had 2 base hits and 2 RBI and Ice Box Chamberlain was able to
finish what he started and was credited with a complete game at Boundary
Field where the Philadelphia Athletics beat the struggling Washington
Statesmen 13 to 6.

Philadelphia drew first blood jumping out to an early lead in the first inning
scoring 3 runners on 1 hit.  Washington had 12 hits in the game while
Philadelphia had 8, but Philadelphia had the more timely hits.

Chamberlain(12-7), allowing 6 runs for the game, picked up the victory. The
loss was charged to Buck Freeman(0-1).  He allowed Philadelphia 13 runs in 9
innings of work.
