Dan McGann cracked 2 homeruns and Jim Hughes was able to finish what he
started and was credited with a complete game as the Baltimore Orioles
ballclub embarrassed the St. Louis Browns by the count of 18 to 5.

McGann really lit it up for Baltimore. The St. Louis fans let him have it for
what he did to their boys. He tripled with all three baserunners touching
home in the 1st inning, emptied the bases with a Grand Slam homerun in the
6th inning, lined a one-base hit plating two runs in the 7th inning and
cracked a two-run shot in the 9th inning. Baltimore provided plenty of
action in the 1st inning which saw them plate 4 runs on 4 hits and the 6th
inning with 4 runs on 3 hits. The Baltimore offense was great, scoring in 7
of the 9 innings.

The victory went to Hughes(12-4) who went the distance allowing 5 runs. Jack
Taylor(6-11) was given the loss. He got hit pretty hard, allowing 21 hits
and 6 walks in 8 and 1/3 innings.

'I had good swings today,' McGann said, 'Everything felt right'.
