TEAM RISP- Dodgers: 1 for 8 Browns: 3 for 14

In a game for the baseball purist, George Mullin(7-6) and Harry McIntire(1-1)
squared off in a tense pitching duel, St. Louis-AL Browns finally emerged
victorious over Brooklyn Dodgers, 3 to 1.

St. Louis-AL scored 2 runs in the decisive bottom of the 6th inning. The key
at-bat was by Sherry Magee who made the home-town crowd a happy bunch when he
slapped a base-hit bringing home two baserunners. St. Louis-AL banged out 7
hits on the afternoon.

Harry Coveleski earned the save, his 13th. 'I didn't have my best stuff but
sometimes you just get lucky,' Mullin said, 'this was one of those times.'
