Willie Mitchell mowed down 10 St. Louis batters as the Cleveland Naps defeated
the St. Louis Browns by a score of 3 to 2 at Sportsman'S Park.

Mitchell(7-7) pitched a solid game.  He surrendered only 6 hits and 2 walks in
7 and 2/3 innings improving his ERA from 3.81 to 3.56.  St. Louis had a
chance to come back in the 9th but they came up short.  

Guy Morton earned his 3rd save.  Walt Leverenz(1-2) was the losing pitcher.
'Everything felt great' Mitchell said. 'I had a good fastball, I felt I could
throw it by everybody today.'
