Alex Main(4-7) and Cy Falkenberg(8-4) locked horns in a pitcher's duel with
Main and the Kansas City Packers coming out on top of the Newark Peppers 2 to
1.

Kansas City came up with 1 run in the 6th inning. Newark threatened in the
9th but Kansas City was able to put down the rally.

Gene Packard earned the save, his 1st. Bill McKechnie was in a contemplative
mood after the tough loss, 'It is really hard to lose this kind of a game.
It may seem weird to some, but it is easier to take the occasional blow-out
loss. It is the ones that just barely get away that hurt so much - like this
one!'
