He doubled plating a run in the 1st inning, blasted a two-run home run in the 2nd inning and cracked a two-run shot in the 5th inning. Cleveland had a total of 15 hits for the game. Murry Dickson(9-5) got credit for the victory, pitching 6 innings and allowing 7 runs. Dickson got help from Jim Hearn who was credited with his 21st save. Campanella was jubilant after the game 'Let me see a box-score' he joked, 'I want to see how that game looks on paper.'
