Dupee Shaw pitched a complete game as the Washington Nationals outscored the
Detroit Wolverines 11 to 6.

Washington erupted with the game winning runs in the top of the 8th inning
when they came up with 6 runs on 6 hits.  The key at-bat was by Paul Hines
who silenced the stadium when he clubbed a two-run home run.  The score went
back-and-forth with the lead changing 6 times.  

Shaw(6-12) was the winner allowing 6 runs for the game. Pretzels Getzien(10-8)
was charged with the loss.  He got hammered, allowing 13 hits and 2 walks in
9 innings.
