Indianapolis fell behind quickly as the Philadelphia offense came through in the first inning scoring a single run. George Wood slapped a single. Ed Andrews stepped up next and he laid down a sacrifice bunt. Jim Fogarty then reached on an error. Barney McLaughlin followed and he hit a deep fly scoring the run. Philadelphia had 13 hits for the afternoon. The win went to Ferguson(7-8) who allowed 3 runs in the game. Hank Morrison(3-2) was the losing pitcher. He allowed a few too many baserunners giving up 13 hits and 2 walks in 9 innings.
