Charlie Ferguson completed the game without help from the bullpen as the
Philadelphia Quakers smashed the overmatched Indianapolis Hoosiers, 13 to
3.

Indianapolis fell behind quickly as the Philadelphia offense came through in
the first inning scoring a single run.  George Wood slapped a single.  Ed
Andrews stepped up next and he laid down a sacrifice bunt.  Jim Fogarty then
reached on an error.  Barney McLaughlin followed and he hit a deep fly
scoring the run.  Philadelphia had 13 hits for the afternoon.  

The win went to Ferguson(7-8) who allowed 3 runs in the game. Hank
Morrison(3-2) was the losing pitcher.  He allowed a few too many baserunners
giving up 13 hits and 2 walks in 9 innings.
