the lopsided score of 18 to 5.

Brooklyn was unable to overcome the big offensive rally by Boston in the 9th
inning when they blasted Brooklyn for 13 runs on 8 hits. The key offensive
moment was provided by Johnny Bates who silenced the stadium when he doubled
plating all three baserunners. Boston provided plenty of action in the 9th
inning which saw them score 13 runs on 8 hits. Boston rapped out 15 hits for
the afternoon.

The victory went to Lindemann(2-0) who went the distance allowing 5 runs. Jim
Pastorius(1-8) was tagged with the loss. Boston knocked him around a bit, as
he gave up 9 runs in 8 innings.
