Cy Barger had a complete game and Sam Crawford collected 2 extra-base hits and
had 2 RBI as the Boston-NL Braves defeated the reeling Washington Nationals
by the score of 8 to 1 at South End Grounds.

Barger(4-5) was in control of the game from the outset.  He didn't give up
much, just 4 hits and 6 walks in 9 innings.  Boston-NL managed 16 hits in
their victory.  

Eddie Cicotte(5-5) was hit with the loss.  He got hammered, allowing 16 hits
and 5 walks in 8 innings.  The Boston-NL ballclub's record now stands at
26-26.  With the loss Washington now has a record of 16-32, worst in the
